Nomadic Studies is published annually by the International Institute for the Study of Nomadic Civilizations under the auspices of UNESCO (IISNC).
Established in 2000, the journal aims to further IISNC's mission of building an international and multidisciplinary research network to address the needs and concerns of nomadic communities, support the safeguarding of nomadic cultural heritage, and promote intercultural dialogue.
