This report outlines the institutional history, collection policies, and diverse holdings of the Central Museum of Khövsgöl Province. Established in 1949 as a school-based cabinet, the museum has grown to preserve over 4,000 archaeological, historical, and ethnographic objects. Highlighting unique items from the Neolithic period to the modern era, the article culminates in a detailed ethnographic case study of the traditional wooden cradle, or *bööv*, used by the Darkhad people of northern Mongolia.References
